With over 50 years experience in providing quality food, apetito is a leading supplier in the UK Community Meals and Healthcare markets and is at the forefront of frozen food innovation, having recently launched into the Care Homes sector and delivering direct to the home via the Wiltshire Farm Foods network.
apetito had an existing embryonic Intranet MOSS site which required further customisation and development including the incorporation of workflows to manage the completion of specific business forms.
apetito approached Creative SharePoint to build a new intranet solution including new designs and look-and-feel to reflect their current branding. apetito required a central portal for all company messaging, news articles and policies and procedures. Some user friendly areas that show What’s New, Top Stories and Director’s Messages, Quick links and Get involved were also required.

Creative SharePoint planned and scoped the project. Once the specification was agreed, the site was designed and built using the following features:
- Custom master page and page layout
- Custom 3rd party web parts
- InfoPath 2007 web enabled forms
- Data view web parts
- SharePoint Designer workflow
Although there was a necessity to apply custom development, the emphasis was to make the most of out-of-the-box functionality.
The primary objective of this project is the delivery of a MOSS intranet for apetito. In addition Creative SharePoint carried out the installation and configuration of the live MOSS server farm.
The intranet site itself was created based on designs commissioned by apetito from Gravity Creative Ltd and will include a number of key page layouts which were used to build the intranet site to provide apetito staff a reliable and intuitive platform that will grow with the companies needs for the future.
Creative SharePoint conducted workshops and planning sessions in order to fully understand the client’s requirements and help them get the most from their solutions.
apetito can now deliver important company messaging and policies through the intranet without the need for emailing documents or sending out company announcements. The intranet has capability to offer document management at a later date.
