​Wilts Wholesale Electrical is the largest independent electrical wholesaler in the country with more than 70 branches throughout the South West, South East, South Wales and the Midlands. Established in 1925, the company has earned a long standing reputation for delivering reliable service and for always putting the customer first.

 

Wilts approached Creative SharePoint to create an intranet solution to enable personnel to access documents, news letter and announcements centrally. The intranet also had to provide a method for delivering their regular newsletters as well as archive off old versions when they are no longer deemed current. They were also very keen that the solution should be in keeping with their corporate brand.

 The requirement for this solution came from a need for users to have a portal that is easy to use, functional, familiar and cost effective. Our SharePoint solution acted as a hub for all employees to collaborate, share information, look up employees and search for policy documents.

Having SharePoint host all documentation, newsletters and policies has allowed Wilts to save time and effort in the dissemination of such information to its staff. Crucially, it has also saved resources as it has removed the need for employees to store and email large policy files on local machines.
