Founded in 1848, John Laing plc is one of the biggest names in UK infrastructure and building projects.
Their projects include the development and operation of roads, railways, hospitals and schools through Public-Private Partnership (PPP) and Private Finance Initiative (PFI) arrangements.
The Challenge
Producing an integrated Relationship Manager and Project Portal, replacing Excel spread sheets and emails with an end to end completely integrated Sharepoint Client extranet platform.
What We Did
Creative Sharepoint helped develop an intranet and extranet portal to facilitate project management and supplier interaction, meaning that staff and contractors can quickly find relevant personnel and access vital documentation at any time.
The Sharepoint based platform is heavily customised, featuring permissions and associated content. By building the site in advance, John Laing users can easily roll out project portals to manage and track bid content and data, often for up to 25 years.
