Analysis
The starting point of any project for us is the analysis. Only with a firm understanding of your organisation and how it works, as well as your needs, can we offer you the optimal solution. For this reason, we leave no stone unturned at the analysis stage, as work put in here reaps rewards later down the line. Techniques we use include surveys, focus groups, face-to-face interviews, workplace observations, contextual enquiries and task efficiency analyses. Our aim is to get to know your organisation inside out, so we can build the perfect solution for it.
Assessment
Once analysis is complete, we can move on to the assessment stage. Here, we complete a thorough audit of your existing systems and requirements. We will offer advice on possible routes to take and their pros and cons. We’ll work closely with you at this stage to define the project. Exercises are carried out to scope out possible solutions to meet your needs, and technologies are evaluated to check how good a fit they would be with your systems and processes. And of course we need to fully understand your business requirements, so a thorough analysis will be conducted to ensure the end result has a profound impact on the way your business operates. Once we have clarified all these areas, we will define the project and begin design work.
Planning
Even the best plans can go off the rails, causing costly delays and snags. That’s why we put a strong planning procedure in place, to deal quickly and efficiently with any issues as they arise. Our project plans are finely detailed, allowing for as many eventualities as possible. We set specific milestones and work hard to meet them in order to keep the project on deadline. We use the Projects in Controlled Environments (PRINCE) 2 project management method, ensuring risks are identified early and tackled head on. To make sure your system is reliable, manageable and supportable, we also use the Microsoft Operations Framework. A steering committee will oversee the progress of the project, offering suggestions and feedback as we go along, and all of this will be led by a dedicated project manager, whose job it is to make sure you get the SharePoint platform you want.
